ATC Hires Darryl Kealy as New Club Manager and Head Pro
The Albany Tennis Club Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the hiring of Darryl Kealy as Club Manager and Head Teaching Professional. Darryl comes to us from Roseburg where he was most recently coaching at Roseburg HS. He previously coached at Cleveland HS in Portland leading their star singles player to four consecutive state championships. Darryl started in his new position at ATC on May 20th. He is hitting the ground running organizing the fast approaching ATC Junior Summer Program.
Darryl is an experienced life-time professional in the tennis business with teaching, tennis director and managerial skills. He is a USPTA-Elite, PTR-Professional certified professional, a USTA/ITA certified official, a USTA certified referee and a certified Platform Tennis Professional. He has a deep love for the game of tennis and people and has developed players and teams from beginner to collegiate to professional. Retiring to be caretaker to he and his wife’s (Chris) parents, he is now free to take up the love of his life again….the challenge of helping tennis players not only enjoy growing their tennis skills, both physical and mental, but reaching for new levels in forming teams (USTA League) and trying out the fastest growing game in the world, pickleball, of which the average age is 55.
Stay tuned for upcoming lesson times and events.
