Phase 1 Reopening

Albany Tennis Club

Phase 1 Reopening

ATC has resumed operations in line with Linn County’s Phase 1 reopening approval.  The court reservation system has been reactivated for reservations on all courts. In order to be compliant with state protocol, there are a few guidelines that we all must adhere to:

  • Stay home if you are sick!
  • Do not use any court without a reservation made on the online reservation system.  We are required to track who is in the club and when they are there.
  • All players and any guests must be identified as part of the reservation.
  • Family members should reserve courts using their own account for accurate recording of court usage.
  • Social distancing guidelines should be followed within the club.
  • Continue practicing exceptional hygiene.
  • Each player should use their own tennis balls and avoid touching other’s tennis balls.  Marking them is an easy way to identify your tennis balls.
  • No more than 10 people in the upstairs lounge at one time (properly distanced, of course).
  • The drinking fountains have been disabled, however, the bottle filler between courts 1 and 3 is available.
  • No use of the showers in the bathrooms.
  • Open doubles play will require sign-up on the court reservations system.  Each open doubles time will be listed as an “event”.  Please do not come to open doubles without first signing up.
  • Pickleball will not be available at this time.

At this time, guidance has not been set for opening the pool.  Once we have clearance to set an opening date, we will begin to prepare the pool for the summer.  We will also make summer memberships available and begin swim lesson sign-ups at that time.

Thanks to all members for your patience and support during this challenging time.

See you on the courts.

P.S.  We are in the final stages of hiring a new club manager/head pro and hope to provide details in the near future.
