Business from Club Members

None.

Manager

Dick reported that there were 18 members affected by the auto deduction problem at Washington Mutual (WaMu).  Everything came out okay in February.  Dick would like to terminate WaMu and bill those 18 members beginning either April 1, or May 1, 2009, and also take any money we have from WaMu and put it in our Umpqua account.  The only money at WaMu is from these 18 auto deductions.

Regarding delinquent/past due accounts:

Ø    2 have been resolved ($600 and $1,200 balances down to $77).

Ø    One still owes $1,125.

Ø    Another owing $1,400 has had 1-3 letters sent saying court privileges will be suspended at the end of February with a copy of the letter sent home with the junior member who was playing today (March 24).  Nothing has been paid on this account since last year and the members’ key cards need to be surrendered.

Ø    Trial families and single members:  7 have been resolved and 1 has been sent a letter to respond by the end of the month to become an equity member

Ø    Swim members:  1 has paid $50, 1 owes $450; 1 $75; and 1, $50.

Pool

Dick e-mailed Gus Arzner to see if he is still interested in helping with the pool.  Dick will set up a meeting with Greg, Travis, Dick, and Gus early in April.  The drain requirements need to be done along with some patching.  Dick asked to have the Health Department inspect the pool when the drain has been fixed to reassure the Club we are in compliance.

Working with John Bell on the key system for the gate into the pool.

Brianna will be in April 3 to go over “pool stuff”, lifeguards, etc., with Travis.

Kudos to Dick for all his hard work.

Pro (Laura reporting for Travis)

Per the Albany Fire Department, the Club has been out of compliance with one of the items from the 2007 inspection; that being the emergency lighting.  Two new lights have been installed; one at the bottom of the stairs above the door going into the foyer to Court 3, with one light shining up the stairs; the lights shine up the stairs; the second one is in the lobby.  G&E will need to do electrical work for the third light.  It will be at the top of the stairs going up to the Viewing Room so that it shines down the stairs and into the viewing area.

Windscreens are going up.

Wally is sweeping the courts in Travis’s absence

The old court sweeper has been released (paid in full) to Steve Monday of Monday’s Janitorial Service.

Adult and junior lessons are going well.

Mixed doubles ladder is going well.

The summer program outline will be posted next week.

Finance

New financial reports are nearly complete.  Several suggestions were made for changes and additional information.  Tom and Dick will get together and go over the reports.

The Club is in decent shape financially for the year.

Cash in Bank                                                   $  3,775.82

Umpqua Bank  Checking                                 $13,482.08

Cash in Edward Jones Money Market             $46,183.00

Total Checking/Savings                       $63,440.90

Total Accounts Receivable                             $  1,620.98

Total Current Assets                                       $65,061.88

Tom is still receiving money for the Julie O’Hearn Memorial fund.

Grounds

Laura would like 4-6 more benches made for Court 3 and Court 4 (outside with a goal of having them done before the summer junior program starts.  It may be necessary to replace benches in the pool patio area after an inventory is done as part of the prepping for the pool opening.
