Junior Development Summer Program starts June 16th and runs through August 28th. This program will consist of the following 11 weekly sessions:
Each weekly session will offer the following classes:
For beginners usually between 5 and 7 years of age. We work on hand-eye coordination and balance. Basic strokes are covered but emphasis is on coordination, fun, and games.
Advanced beginners are usually between the ages of 8 and 12 years of age. We work on USTA advanced beginner skills progression with emphasis on the development of consistency and stroke technique on all basic strokes. Students are introduced to competition in half court environments.
Intermediates are usually between 12 and 14 years of age. We work on USTA intermediate skills progression. Consistency and ball control are stressed for all strokes. Students are placed in complex situations and are expected to demonstrate knowledge of rules and appropriate sportsmanship. Knowledge of match play will be stressed.
Normally these students are at least 13 years of age and have significant playing experience either in USTA sanctioned tournaments, or are on an area varsity tennis team. This class is designed and geared toward the competitive player and improving match play skills. We use the USTA advanced skills progression which includes work on consistency and ball placement.
This is an invitational only class for kids that compete at the USTA champs level. A USTA singles ranking is required in the champs level or top ten in Challenger level. High intensity workouts and match play are stressed. These kids are required to compete in at least four USTA tournaments a summer to qualify.
Want a great and fun workout? Try Cardio Tennis. Cardio Tennis is first and foremost a fitness program which will get you moving and active. It is great for beginners and advanced players. Tennis experience is not required - although Cardio Tennis will help you build up your acceleration and endurance in tennis and other sports. AM Times: (all sessions 1 hour) Monday 10:30, Wednesday 9:30, Friday 9:30, Saturday 10:00
Are you looking to improve your overall game? These drills in a group setting are just the solution, giving you a chance to do repetitive work on all your tennis stokes except for serving. Different drill sessions are offered throughout the week for different audiences. Check the Calendar page to see if there is a drill class for you.
Every Wednesday night from 6:15 - 8:30, we reserve all the courts for Men's Night. We play no-ad sets to 5 games, meaning that turnaround is quick and you get to play (and meet) lots of friendly folks.
